One of Korea’s breakout indie music stars, the band SURL, announced plans to tour North America this spring, sharing a list of 12 concert dates.
Titles after their first full-length album [of us] released in October 2022, the ‘review of us’ tour kicks off on April 2 in Philadelphia and makes stops in Atlanta, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and more through April. On April 18, SURL will play one show in Toronto, Canada before making their way through Chicago, Somerville, and Brooklyn.
While SURL are planning on expanding their global reach via this tour, it is not their first experience performing overseas. The band has already appeared at leading overseas festivals in Canada (Canadian Music Week), Germany (Reeperbahn Festival), Taiwan (LUCfest), Singapore (Baybeats Festival), Thailand (Big Mountain Music Festival), and the U.S. (SXSW).
SURL are previously known for their genre-blended collaboration works with Jay Park (“Don’t Say No”) and Hash Swan (“Spider Web”) and other well-received tracks such as “Dry Flower,” “Snow,” and “The Lights Behind You” recommended by BTS’s leader RM and IU.
In 2022, SURL raised their profile by appearing on Mnet’s band survival program, “Great Seoul Invasion” where they finished in second place.
