Special Webcomics Series with Artists Dami Lee and Mary Park (Murrz)

The Korean Cultural Center New York (KCCNY) is excited to announce the launch of a new webcomics series, “KCCNY Originals.” The first two series will feature two influential Korean-American webtoon artists, Dami Lee and Mary Park (Murrz).

Both Dami and Murrz will draw inspiration from cultural events based in New York and the US, while also exploring various facets of Korean culture like K-Pop and Korean food, etiquette culture, and language!

The series will be accessible on KCCNY social media platforms and each artists’ platforms from July 2023.

Korea Art Festival

The ‘Korea Art Festival’ is the premier art event in South Korea, connecting major art events such as ASYAAF, Busan Biennale, Art Travel Week, Seoul Art Week, Frieze Seoul, Kiaf SEOUL, and the Gwangju Biennale, and involving participation from art museums and galleries nationwide. Throughout the festival period, art fairs, biennales, and curated exhibitions will take place nationwide.

In collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Gwangju Metropolitan City, Busan Metropolitan City, Seoul Metropolitan Government, Gwangju Biennale, Busan Biennale Organizing Committee, Korea Arts Management Service, Frieze, Galleries Association of Korea, Incheon International Airport Corporation, Korea Airports Corporation, Korea Tourism Organization, and Korea Railroad Corporation, a range of benefits are provided to allow both domestic audiences and international tourists to enjoy art. The benefits include integrated admission tickets for Gwangju-Busan Biennales, free entry to major exhibitions for VIPs of Kiaf-Frieze, railway tourism packages, and art travel week promotions.
